History is a subject designed to encourage enquiring minds and generate curiosity about the past. History allows students to think critically, using a range of contemporary evidence, to develop their own perspectives and judgements.

Students will develop their understanding of concepts including significance, change and continuity, and cause and consequence in order to more fully appreciate the complexities of people’s lives and the diversity of societies both in the past and the present day.
