EBacc—English Baccalaureate.
Whilst the EBacc is not a qualification in itself, it is a recognition that you have studied a broad range of facilitating subjects.
For those that can we recommend that students do take EBacc qualifying subjects.
The subjects are: English, Maths, Science, MFL (Modern Foreign Language) and a Humanities (History or Geography). Therefore if you wish to achieve the EBacc you need to select either History or Geography as one of your 3 options.
“A study by the UCL Institute of Education shows that studying subjects included in the EBacc provides students with greater opportunities in further education and increases the likelihood that a pupil will stay on in full-time education.”
