Prizegiving
Students - both past and present - were joined by family, staff, and governors at The Minster School’s annual Prizegiving ceremony on 15th September 2022.
This annual event celebrates students’ considerable successes, not only in examinations but as significant contributors to the life of the school and wider community. During the evening Ben Chaloner addressed the assembled students and guests. He reflected upon a school year that had begun under covid restrictions and had ended with students taking their public examinations for the first time since 2019. Considering this, the results that the students had achieved were truly exceptional. The guest speaker was local resident and former Minster School student Dr Marion Oswald. Marion was awarded an MBE in the Jubilee Honours list for her services to digital innovation. Marion reflected upon her own experience of being recognised by the school through Prizegiving and how society around us is changing. Congratulations to all prize winners and their families and particular good wishes for the future to those students leaving The Minster School at the end of year 13 as they embark upon the next chapter of their lives.
